Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center Board Certified Behavior Analyst 1682 in Waco, Texas

Location: 300 S. 4th St. Waco, TX

The Behavior Support Specialist works with consumers, families, caregivers, and community providers in an effort to meet therapeutic goals of consumers in the Challenging Behavior Program and Children’s Autism Program. This person will implement and monitor behavior support plans written by a BCBA, train others on the behavior support plans, complete data collection and provide resources and referrals to families or caregivers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions

  • Excellent written communication and computer keyboarding for inputting clinical documentation

  • Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers

  • Time management and organization required to meet service goals

  • Local travel to client homes, school, group homes, and other community settings. 25% of time will be spent traveling locally and 25% of time will be spent on regional travel

  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to be CPR and SAMA certified

  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation to get to work is required

Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree with Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst * required*

  • 1 year of case management and/or IDD experience* preferred *

  • Required license or certification:

Hours: Mon-Fri 8

Salary: $65,000
