Seneca Resources Senior Equipment Support Technician in Richardson, Texas

This position is responsible for the electrical, electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance of precision thin film optical coating equipment, diamond point turning equipment and other related systems. This individual must possess a background in electronics, mechanical aptitude, ability to solve complex technical equipment problems and strong troubleshooting skills. Responsible for keeping detailed records of equipment issues and preventive maintenance results using existing maintenance software. Uses specialized testing equipment in the process of troubleshooting equipment. Prepares and maintains inspection, preventive maintenance and lockout/tagout procedures for equipment.
Minimum of 4-years’ experience in the repair of electronic/electro-mechanical, process control equipment and mechanical equipment.
Good written and verbal skills.
Good knowledge and experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel and Power-Point) and documentation software.
Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance upon hire.
Must be willing to work different shifts.
Physical Job Requirements:
Standing at least 60-80% during the work day
Walking short distances at least 10-20% during the work day
Bending at the waist 10% during the work day
Lifting and/or Carrying < 25 lbs. during the work day
Able to wear cleanroom attire (gloves and mask)
Excellent electrical/electronic background
Prior experience and familiarity with Optical coating and Diamond Point Turning equipment.
Strong background in electronics with mechanical aptitude having the ability to solve complex technical equipment problems.
High School Diploma
Minimum of a 2 year electronics/electrical diploma/degree or equivalent
