Our Facility Administrator is the chief administrator of the facility. Works cooperatively with corporate and local management to develop and attain the goals and objectives of a secure, sex offender treatment facility according to the policy direction of the company and within the scope defined by the client agency. Has budgetary responsibility for all facility expenses.



  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, mental health, hospital administration, or equivalent


  • Ten (10) years management and supervisory experience in a secure civil residential facility setting, including a minimum of five (5) years as facility director or assistant director.

  • Knowledgeable in the design and operations of secure residential sex offender treatment programs including working knowledge of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, Professional Code of Ethics and Practice Standards and Guidelines.

  • Proven experience at motivating and directing a diverse workforce

  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets scientific and technical co.ncepts and applications, financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Ability to respond to a variety of inquiries or complaints from stake holders, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Must be able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization..

  • Must be able to act as a competent liaison between the organization and the community

  • Must be able to write complex reports, speeches, and other communication materials that conform to prescribed style and format and are understandable to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the company.

  • Must have strong leadership ability, sound judgment, and effective administrative ability.

  • Possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of the objectives and principles of career development and advancement programs.

  • Clearly demonstrates the ability to guide, direct and coordinate the efforts of others


  • State license or certification is required where applicable


  1. Plans, and provides leadership, for the administrative, security and treatment programs of the facility.

  2. Makes long-range plans and schedules.

  3. Sets goals and establishes objectives to achieve such plans.

  4. Develops and maintains close working relationships with the client departments and their representatives.

  5. Approves, initiates, interprets, revises and enforces policies and directives for efficient administration.

  6. Supplements policies with written guidelines and procedures.

  7. Directs the activities of all facility functions, assigns duties and delegates authority to accomplish them.

  8. Delegates authority for the selection, advancement and termination of staff, including ongoing staff training, communications, development and staff disciplinary hearings.

  9. Directs the work of other employees, including selection, hiring, evaluating job performance, employee training/development, promoting and any disciplinary action, including termination.

  10. Ensures that adequate procedures, methods, and techniques are established in all programs, disciplines, and operations so that functions are executed with maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness.

  11. Monitors compliance with established facility methods and systems and seeks improvements in all departmental areas including but not limited to security, business services, food service, medical service, programs, and maintenance.

  12. Provides adequate facilities, space and equipment for residents and staff.

  13. Ensures the ability of the facility staff to respond appropriately to emergencies.

  14. Provides proper safeguards and conducts regular scheduled physical inspections for health, safety, and welfare of residents, staff and property of the facility.

  15. Clears policy matters with the appropriate corporate and/or client officials, whenever necessary, and advises facility management and staff of pertinent matters.

  16. Remains aware of statutory requirements, and legal decisions, that affect administrative decisions and/or operations of the facility.

  17. Analyzes proposals, financial statements, records, statistical reports, budget estimates and justifications for proposed expenditures.

  18. Develops and maintains close working relationships with government and private agencies including local, state and federal law enforcement units, and the community.

  19. Responds on a 24-hour, 7-day basis to significant unusual occurrences.

  20. Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed to ensure the effective and successful operation of the facility.

  21. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  22. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  23. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

  24. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

  25. Perform other duties as assigned.
