Southwest Research Institute ASSOCIATE SPECIALIST - SPECIALIST - SUBCONTRACTS in San Antonio, Texas

Job Summary:

Solicits, negotiates, awards and administers subcontracts to support contracts with Institute clients. Solicit proposals. Conduct cost/price analysis. Negotiate and finalize subcontracts and other agreements (subgrants, CRADA's, etc.). Administer subcontracts to include closeout. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or related and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Must have 0 – 5 years of contracts or subcontracts negotiation, award and administration experience. Experience with government requirements, primarily FAR and 2 CFR 200 (or OMB Circular A-133) preferred. Position level dependent on education and experience. Preferred experience administering Government subcontracts; thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as well as current experience with 2 CFR 200 or OMB Circular A-133 requirements and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements. Must have experience with personal computers. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word experience preferred. Knowledge of general business practices and procedures. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
