Community Health Systems Quality Coord (RN) FT Days in San Angelo, Texas

Description:

This position is an entry level position in the Quality Management department. The Quality Coordinator participates in strategic and regulatory initiatives by monitoring regulatory compliance indicators and by providing data, information, recommendations and analysis of trends to hospital committees. Meets with team and task force leaders individually or in groups to assist with improvement endeavors. Assists the Chief Quality Officer with survey preparation/readiness and monitoring responses or plans of corrective action and summarizes data into report format. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for clinical screening of medical records for indicators requiring further clinical review, and aggregates data for trending and reporting.

Qualifications

Education:

RN, LVN, or other healthcare clinical degree..

Experience:

3 years recent experience in acute care setting required. Must have a strong clinical background. Experience in healthcare quality, risk management or related area desired. Works well with others in team situations. Good communication skills, dependable, dedication to job responsibilities, good time management skills and work ethics. Understands and maintains confidentiality at all times. Sound foundation of computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint programs required.

Licenses/Certificates:

Holds a current license in the state of Texas as a registered professional nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse or appropriate clinical license or degree in other healthcare field.
