Raytheon Principal Systems Engineer in Richardson, Texas

The Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services SEIT (Systems Engineering and Integration Team) located in Richardson, Texas is the central focus for concept development, trade studies, systems architecture development, and systems integration and test activities for customized engineering services and products developed in the Richardson engineering facility. We develop solutions to solve customer needs as well as plan future capabilities and technology roadmaps. Raytheon SEIT team has a professional Systems Engineer opportunity available. The SEIT Systems Engineer will be assigned to programs primarily within the Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) product line to fill the role of integration, verification, validation and test (IVVT) engineer for an existing program to create, deploy and support the deployed system at the customer’s operational facility. The IVVT engineer will be responsible for execution of activities necessary to deploy, integrate, test and support products in multiple environments for many users. The selected candidate will have roles in the following areas and may include responsibilities not limited to: • Plan and perform integration and testing of systems composed of algorithms, COTS/GOTS packages, custom software and custom and/or commercial hardware • Integration verification and validation team leadership, integration and test plan preparation and maintenance, test procedure development, requirements verification management, integration and test execution, test report development and site deployment planning, coordination and implementation • Enterprise Test and Transition activities, including: ◦System installation and checkout for the program’s delivered products as well as integration with other contractor developed systems ◦Support Enterprise Tests and demos ◦System transitions ◦Customer milestone reviews • Work with multi-discipline teams in the creation of technical work products • Develop and execute automated tests and custom tests for system validation • Evaluate customer change requests affecting Enterprise Test, and provide impact and cost of the proposed changes • Work with operational and site support personnel to convey impacts of any system changes • Create and provide status and plans to program management • Develop and manage testing tasks and schedules Clearance: Must be a U.S. CITIZEN with an active DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance Required Skills: • 7+ years experience in GEOINT/IMINT related product line in an engineering or an engineering support role • Experience in the GEOINT/IMINT domain • IVVT experience on a large government software development contract • Experience with test automation tools and processes • Proven written and oral communication skills • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word • Must be able to interface with design engineers, developers, program and company leadership, customers, and end users • Demonstrated work is performed without appreciable direction • Develops technical solutions to complex problems to improve overall testing • Must be willing to work overtime to meet key deadlines, and lead team to do the same • Experience in the GEOINT, Cyber, and/or Computer Network Defense domains Desired Skills: • Knowledge and experience in the testing, deployment and support of cloud-based systems with real time (or near real time) components • Experience in developing presentations and delivering them at formal customer reviews to include business reviews and milestone reviews • Experience with integration on a large ($50M+) mission critical development or operational system • Experience with requirements based test development utilizing DOORs • Demonstrated judgment in managing competing internal and external priorities to meet project objectives • Raytheon EVMS Level 2 certification • Experience in metrics based forecasting and management Required Education: 8 years with B.S. in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related area or 6 years with B.S. in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related area 104386
