Microsoft Services SI Group is looking for a seasoned Consultant that has a unique blend of advanced technology skills and strategic business acumen. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows Platform Deployments in addition to a broad understanding of the supporting technologies that are core to the delivery of Windows Desktops to the enterprises. The candidate must be adept in communications and be able to manage relationships at the senior business levels.
The Consultant must be able to apply advanced analytics to map out detailed enterprise solutions for our Public Sector customers. The Consultant must have the experience work with a business team to provide detailed cost estimates around the solutions that have been proposed. The Consultant must have strong communications skills in the business acumen to properly communicate and position our solutions across Public Sector. Lastly, the Consultant will be required to lead large scale projects or provide targeted Subject Matter Expertise in support of the core delivery team.
The successful candidate must have current and deep experience across the Windows Client platforms, within strategic Enterprise customers. Strong leadership and the ability to professionally represent Microsoft in challenging environments are required. Understanding of competitive technology enables the Consultant to properly assess feasibility of migrating customer solutions from, and/or integrating with customer solutions hosted on non-Microsoft platforms. Ability to manage projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes seeing multi-phase, multi-dimensional, and multi-resource IT infrastructure projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.
Deep knowledge of Enterprise Desktop Imaging and Deployment is required.
A successful candidate should possess the many of the following skills:
·Proficient in designing and deploying Windows desktop operating systems to include customizing, application packaging, troubleshooting, Bitlocker management, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 migration concepts and solutions
·Experienced using Configuration Manager 2012 (SCCM) / Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) to develop custom operating system images, patching solutions, troubleshooting and maintenance plans, Application Virtualization (App-V) and VDI
·Knowledgeable building, maintaining and troubleshooting Group Policy Objects, Active Directory security and compliancy configurations
·In depth understanding with deployment technologies to include, but not limited to WAIK, ADK, USMT, WDS, SCCM, WinPE, SIM, MDT, PowerShell, VB script, ZTI, LTI and WICD
·Sound understanding of Microsoft desktop deployment scenarios, requirements gathering as well as capable of training customers and well-rounded technical writing skills
·Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Client and Server
·Experience in designing Workload Security configurations and practices
·Ability to design, create and deliver solution frameworks
·Experience giving presentations to executive audiences and explaining the benefits of the platform over competitors
BS in Computer Science / Engineering, or comparable experience in a related discipline with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Travel is an integral part of this position. You should be willing to travel as is demanded by the needs of our customers and our business.
This position may require travel to customer sites up to 75% of the time and overnight travel may also be required
