Role Summary:

Reporting to the North American Region General Ledger Supervisor, the position will assist with the day to day operations of the general ledger accounting processes and activities. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of accounting by participating in a variety of close and non-close activities. They will be assigned specific duties as well as ad-hoc projects. It is important that this person understand basic accounts and be able to apply this knowledge to the general ledger activities / processes. Communication skills are very important as is the ability to work well within a team environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly/ quarterly account transaction closing and cut-off date

  • Assist with identifying and resolving GL issues; streamline accounting functions among multiple functional groups

  • Prepare journal entries

  • Prepare account reconciliations

  • Assist with standard process documentation as well as in-house non-standard process documentation

  • Work closely with FP&A and Operations team to ensure completeness and integrity of financial information

  • Assist with special projects as assigned Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or relevant professional certification

  • 2 to 3 years accounting experience or equivalent

  • Computer literate

  • Intermediate MS Office skills user required (basic formula, Vlookup, Pivot Tables)

  • Intermediate to Advance Excel Macro Desired Characteristics:

  • SAP experience

  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA, CA, CMA, or local equivalent certification

  • Customer focused and team oriented

  • Able to prioritize projects based on customer demand

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Take ownership of assignments and follow through as applicable

  • Process development background

  • Good analytical skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Good understanding of internal controls

  • Good organization skills
