Baylor Scott & White Health RN Pre/Post Cardiac Cath Tele Weekend Night Job in Dallas, Texas

We are looking for experienced RNs to work in one of our Telemetry units.

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health's (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.

Our Telemetry RNs play a critical role in providing quality patient care. It's the Telemetry RN that often detects life-threatening complications and informs doctors of the need to act. We need RNs that are adept at using computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information to detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.

Ideal Telemetry RN candidates will take pride in monitoring their patients and have the ability to remain focused during stressful procedures and medical situations that require quick thinking. Opportunity to cross-train on ICU beds after 1 year.

§ Shift/Schedule 24 hours/week Full Time Weekend Nights (Sat-Sun)7pm 7am

§ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required

§ RN license required

§ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification a plus

§ 2 3 years of professional nursing experience in an acute setting strongly preferred

? Previous experience working withICU, PACUor Telemetry patients preferred

Note: If you have less than 6 months of experience, we recommend that you apply to our nursing internship program. Internships are available for new graduates and experienced nurses in a variety of specialties. New classes begin in January, June, and September.
