Who we’re looking for Toyota Motor North America is seeking a highly, motivated individual to join our Infrastructure Technology Uplift team. In this position, the Infrastructure Technology Uplift Manager will oversee large scale technology uplift programs at all Toyota North American facilities. He/She will interface with multiple areas including field services, engineering, design, operations, OCIO and others. He/She will need to possess broad program management experience managing budgets in excess of $5M and overseeing technology installations for multiple technology and IT infrastructure disciplines (server, storage, LAN, UPS, Generator, etc.).
What you’ll be doing
Lead large scale infrastructure program initiatives at several North American affiliates (including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales) Work with multiple groups to develop mid- and long-term technology roadmap strategies in the areas of lifecycle refresh for Toyota infrastructure Support team members through full life cycle including interviewing, coaching and feedback, delegation, goal setting, counseling, discipline, performance management, compensation, recognition and motivation. Manage contract staff and vendor partners as required. Mentor Toyota team members by establishing development plans for each to strengthen their capabilities in Toyota Way thinking Collect and analyze data in order to oversee capacity and lifecycle in multiple core information technology areas Manage overall ITS Portfolio including: budget planning, financial tracking, and program management including cost savings activities for ITS Apply forecast models for growth, including usage-driven scale-up of existing environments Apply framework to analyze, process, and visualize capacity and lifecycle related information Oversee and manage vendor relationships including contracted variable work force Work with application teams, operations, and engineering teams to ensure capacity plans are in sync with pipeline, inventory supplies, and lifecycle management Identify potential capacity issues and opportunities and work with engineering and operations to apply long term countermeasures Present program cost, and value analysis in written and presentation form to multiple levels of management, including executives Develops and delivers communications at all levels, including the executive level
What you bring
Capacity Planning and Technology Uplift project management experience in 2 or more of the following core infrastructure technologies
HVAC / UPS / Generators
Linux / UNIX Servers
Converged and Hyper-Converged Technologies (UCS, VMWare, Nutanix, Vblock)
Network Security (firewall, proxy, etc.)
Phone systems (Cisco, Avaya, etc.)
New Building Startups/Expansions
Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
Cloud technologies (AWS, Microsoft vNext, etc.)
Program management experience
Previous experience in the management of people (Team members, Contract/Variable Workforce or Vendor Partners) Program level budgetary responsibility for multiple technology workstreams Management of program budgets in excess of $5 million Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Technical, or Business discipline or relevant work experience that would apply to this position Excellent communications skills with the ability to understand technical subject matter Added bonus if you have
Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) or Business discipline PMP
