We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Client Product Group on our OS Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible to deliver the Windows OS software development and factory install deliveryfor the Dell Product Group.

Responsibilities

-Deliver Windows OS(Windows LTSB and Embedded) solutions for multiplefor multiple platforms

  • Work with OS vendors to plan and deliver Oss to our factory to support our product roadmaps

-Work with internal cross-functional teams including Marketing, Procurement, Program Management, Services, etc.

  • Driveend-to-end pieces of the Operating System developmentto support platform enablement

-Drive internal and external teams to provide necessary solutions

  • Provide engineering troubleshooting to isolate and provide root cause to OS issues

QUALIFICATION:

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • 5+ years industry experience working with Windows, Linux OS systems technologies

  • Working knowledge ofWindows OS, Device Drivers, HW, Frameworks and Application development

  • Familiarity with OS Packaging formats, Installer and Build tools

  • Experience with Python

  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging capability

Preferences

  • BS in Computer Science, EE or equivalent

  • Knowledge of working with Factory Processes

  • In-depth knowledge of areas of BIOS, Manageability, Security

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology

  • Working knowledge of SW/HW Product Development

  • Good Vendor management skills
