JOB TITLE: Receptionist, Goodwill Community Center

DIVISION: Executive Management Support

REPORTS TO: Executive Support Manager

Provide administrative support and supports the Mission of Goodwill.

8:00am – 1:00pm; M-F

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Acknowledge all visitors immediately and direct them to the appropriate Goodwill representative; assists guests with questions. 2. Answer and route incoming calls and process messages in a timely manner. 3. Maintain guest log and issue guest badges. 4. Process and distribute all incoming mail via courier/interoffice, and USPS. 5. Keep all resource documents up-to-date with current information-i.e., phone list, class schedule, etc. 6. Provide appropriate training for staff that may be asked to cover during receptionist absence from desk. 7. Complete data entry tasks as needed. 8. Assist with various clerical duties; maintain records, retrieve information, and perform errands as requested. 9. Maintain a positive, team oriented relationship with management and peers; encourage interactions between all departments. 10. Represents the company in the community in a positive fashion. 11. All work reflects a neat, professional image. 12. Demonstrates ethics and complies with Corporate Compliance Program.



This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


  1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  2. 0-6+ months of previous customer service oriented experience.
  3. Good decision-making skills with the ability to act and notify.
  4. Need to have excellent customer service skills and proper phone etiquette.
  5. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic clerical duties; possess data entry/computer skills.
  6. Ability to deal with difficult callers.
  7. Creative and flexible problem solving.
  8. Recognition of rules for confidentiality.
  9. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.


  1. Previous multi phone line experience.
  2. Bilingual English/Spanish.


$12.00 hour depending on experience and qualifications.
